It has a favorable tourist-geographical position and is classified as a significant transit tourist center in Montenegro, because the Belgrade railway passes through it.
Its geographical position makes it is one of the largest resort destinations in the north of Montenegro. The climate and the surrounding natural wonders turn this destination into great holidays destination during both winter and summer season.
Thanks to its natural destiny, Kolasin is a paradise for winter tourism. The ski center organizes the reception and transportation of guests from the train station, or to the hotel, or to the ski center by its own buses. Here, the conditions for engaging in winter sports are constantly being built and improved. There are also three ski clubs in Kolasin.
The mountaineering adventure offered by these mountains is complemented by the beauties of the lakes that are located on it. The best time for mountaineering activity is late spring, summer, and early autumn, and during the winter, experts advise wearing good mountaineering equipment.
If you are an avid fisherman, there are rivers rich in trout near the town, there is a hunting and fishing society in the town itself, so your hunting or fishing experience will be a great opportunity to socialize.
Locals and their guests choose the shores of the lake, especially Biogradsko or one of the Pesica lakes on Bjelasica.
For a more active vacation, every Kolasinac will recommend rafting on the river Tara.
