Milna (Brač Island)
Milna is a fishing village on the west coast of Brac. The name of the village stems back from the times of Venetians who named it "Valle di mille navi" (the cove of a thousand ships). Along its waterfront you can find many restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops and soak up the local Mediterranean lifestyle. It is known as the largest natural harbor on the island, perfect for small cruises who want to visit the Dalmatian islands.
This small village is heaven for nautical aficionados as it has two well equipped marinas with the rich history of boatbuilding. It is enveloped by a long and beautiful coast, along which are built beautiful old houses, a small masterpiece of local architecture. In Milna center you will find and antique Baroque church with a typical Dalmatian bell tower.
You will be enchanted by its rich culture and local gastronomy that capture the essence of true Dalmatian way of life. Milna offers many activities to its visitors to participate! You can try diving, sailing and fishing in the seaside sports. Those eager to explore will delight the nearby secluded coves, especially the Lucice bay, the port of Bobovisca, and the nearby village of Lozisce.
