Zip-lining
A fantastic zip lining site overlooking the Cetina River Canyon , near Omis is not to be missed for any adventure enthusiast. With the longest length of 700m and a speed of 65km/h, this is one sport to keep the adrenaline pumping. Another zip-line above the Pazin Cave in Istria takes you right to where the cave is located. The third popular zip-lining spot is Beware of the Bear in Rudopolje village, near the famous Plitvice National Park.
Canyoning
Canyoning around the Cetina river area involves a truckload of activities such as hiking, swimming, rafting and canyoning. This activity takes place along a 105km stretch from Vrlika village to the town of Omis and further into the Adriatic Sea. Another site is Devil's Passage in Gorski Korar, which is a 800m long, 100m high and 2m wide canyon.
Paklenica National Park for rock climbing
One of the most popular sites in the whole of Southern Europe, the Paklenica National Park has almost 400 designated climbing routes, each as challenging but inviting as others. The most sought after climbing peak in the region is Mount Anica Kuk. Due to its proximity with the sea this climbing site is ideal for mixing both water and climbing sports. The climbing season here begins in spring and continues till Autumn.
Caving in Rovanjska
If you are looking for a thriving caving scene look no further than Croatia.There are endless sites with varying levels of difficulty, with the Modrica Cave being the best of the lot. The site lies 30km northeast of the island of Zadar in Rovanjska. Other good caving sites in the country are near Zagreb, by the name of Veternica Cave, Baredine in Istria and Grabovaca Cave Park in the region of Lika.

Croatia abounds in rivers, rapids and lakes, but the Una river in Dalmatia is the best for whitewater rafting. The river forms the boundary between Croatia and Bosnian with the most challenging being the 15km stretch from Strbacki waterfalls to Lahovo and through the pretty Una National Park.
